Extend or Move

Extend or move is the most common question a person asks themselves when they outgrow their property or the space goes out of fashion. All options are considered expensive and unfortunately the processes involved in all options can be very stressful. Properties also require maintenance and if the property goes unmaintained for a significant period then this can only increase the costs of any renovation project.

Stamp Duty

Stamp duty in the UK has made extending the simplest option for many, mostly because it is far more likely that the properties increase in value following an extension is a good investment and the money attributed to stamp duty in any purchase feels like a loss.

There are many ways to extend a property and sometimes even simply adjusting the internal layout can completely transform the space. In the UK adding a utility room is by far the most common form of alteration whilst people seek to redivide their properties into a balance of functional and social spaces.

History of Exceptional Renovations

At the Abbey Construction Group we transform 30+ properties a year and we want to ensure that the extension and renovation process is as stress free as possible. We have devised methods of timeline management as well as financial management that remove a lot of the headaches that come naturally when spending a large sum of money.

As a result The Abbey Construction Group have retained Chartered Status and grown from the company that simply produced exceptional spaces to a Multi Award Winning well known brand in London and the surrounding areas. The company are also being recognised in several magazines, recently featuring on the front cover of BUILD magazine as well as in Housebuilding Now and Construction Management.

If you have a project you would like to discuss please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Chartered Award Winning team to organise a consultation.
