House Extension in Lansdowne Road, Notting Hill.

Following a new addition to the family, our client was desperate for more living space. But they were keen to keep hold of their beautiful property in the sought after location of Notting Hill.

The interior of the property was also dated, and in need of thorough renovation throughout.

the build

Given a budget of £122,000 to deliver significant additions and renovations to the house, we partnered with East London-based architectural firm, Archea, to ensure we had spot-on designs that would maximise return-on-investment for the client.

As with all of our renovation projects, we provided end-to-end management of the entire process, ensuring consistency with the client brief, and continuity of works throughout. We managed the planning, design, build and finish to produce an exceptional result.

The entire build took around 5 months, even with a tricky requirement to navigate; the client requested that all steelwork remain exposed to create a trendy, industrial aesthetic.

This meant modifying the build to find alternative drainage routes, but we leveraged our close relationship with the architect to devise a plan without delaying the project.

The result

By extending the ground floor of the home and converting the loft, we were able to provide plenty of much-needed additional space. This included an open-plan, social kitchen, two additional bedrooms and a large family bathroom.

On top of this, we modernised the interior of the property, ensuring a high-end finish throughout – including the exposed steelwork as specially requested by the client.

Our client was extremely pleased with the end-to-end management of the project; especially our ability to respond to their specific requirements.

Overall, we were able to deliver exactly what the client needed, both in terms of function and investment, in line with both budget and expectations.
